From a brief to a first draft
Start with a conflict that moves the scene. An archivist wants a missing compass back; another character knows it has been seized as evidence. Both have a reason to hold something back, giving the scene a direction.
In Writing Studio, specify fictional adult characters, location, perspective and intended length. You can discuss two directions, select one, then refer to that completed discussion in the writing request.
Review the budget before sending. After generation, check motives, the location of important objects and whether the ending poses a concrete next question. Revise the passages that need work without turning a local note into a rule for the entire manuscript.
A first draft makes problems visible. Retain versions, accept a useful revision and download a copy you want to keep rather than treating an unreviewed output as a finished work.
