Frequently asked questions
Answers about drafts, story interactions, credits and account recovery.
Start a story
Open Writing Studio and describe the story you want. The six-question story brief is optional and free. You can choose suggestions or write your own answers, review them, then place the brief in the composer. Sending the request opens a credit budget; generation starts after you confirm it. During maintenance, writing may be unavailable.
Enter an interactive story
Choose a story and prepare its scene. You can play the protagonist, introduce your own fictional character, or guide events as a narrator. Preparation, the opening and later replies are separate credit-consuming actions. In the conversation, use a suggested choice or select dialogue, action or narration and write your own response. Story tools let you move to the next scene or save an interaction as a story when available.
Understand credit budgets
A writing budget shows the maximum credits reserved for that turn. It is not an additional fee: completed settlement uses the actual recorded calls and releases the unused reservation. Failed calls and a permitted repair or operational backup can consume credits. Your debit is capped at the amount you approved. Finishing an interrupted fragment is a new turn and requires a new budget confirmation.
Recover an interrupted turn
If a connection drops, use Check unfinished Agent task before submitting another paid request. This checks the retained task instead of generating again. A completed result and its settlement are reloaded. If a turn failed after receiving draft text, a recovery action becomes available. Review the new budget before finishing that fragment. Stopping a turn does not erase calls that were already dispatched.
Read and download your drafts
Your account works library opens your saved text and provides TXT and Word downloads. Writing Studio lets you continue a draft and inspect its versions. Check the retention date shown for each work and download a copy before it expires. A pending version is available for review; it becomes the accepted manuscript only after you accept it. Your account works are separate from public editions.
Verify your email and reset a password
Register with an email address you control and open the verification link sent to it. If a link expires, request a new one. To reset a password, use Forgot password on the sign-in page, then open the reset email and choose a new password. A neutral response does not reveal whether an address has an account. Email delivery can take time; check your spam folder before requesting another message.
Which genres and styles can I explore?
Describe a mystery, contemporary, fantasy, science fiction, historical or relationship premise and specify perspective and pace. Website and model boundaries apply; adult themes require fictional adults.
Can I continue an existing draft?
Open your work in Writing Studio, check the current manuscript and version, then request a continuation. You can also supply an excerpt as reference. State the goal and facts to preserve.
Can I download my work?
Use the TXT or Word download controls provided for your work in the account library. Check its retention date and save your own copy before expiry.
How does length affect an AI budget?
Length, context, call count and model consumption can affect the budget and settlement. There is no fixed price per generated word. Review the current budget and approve the turn’s cap before beginning.
Why can a failed turn still use credits?
Dispatched model calls can incur costs. Settlement uses recorded consumption or the disclosed reservation bound and does not exceed your approved budget. Unused credits are released. Check the retained task and bill before retrying.
How do I protect my account information?
Protect your email and password and keep verification or reset links private. Sign out on shared devices. Keep passwords, payment details and unnecessary personal information out of AI requests and attachments.
Where can I see credit use?
Use account balance and transaction history to inspect orders and spending. Writing settlement records distinguish reservations, settlement and released credits. Check the retained task after a connection failure.
How do I get a result closer to my brief?
State the characters, goal, obstacle, voice and intended length. Name the passage and facts to preserve when revising. Planning can carry forward, but confirm important choices explicitly.
Can one email have several accounts?
Email identifies an account. Sign in or reset your password when the address is already registered. English and Chinese pages use the same account.
How do I manage or remove a draft?
Use the management controls currently available in your works library and work page. Download a needed copy first. Account drafts, historical versions and public editions are separate objects; check the operation’s scope.
Where can I check retention and credit terms?
Check each work’s displayed retention date and download anything you want to keep. Account, recharge pages and current terms describe credit and order rules; old articles should not be used as a current expiry promise.
Can I use a generated draft commercially?
Check the website terms, source material rights, third-party permissions and requirements for your intended use. AI generation is not a guarantee of originality, ownership or suitability for commercial use.
How do I reset a forgotten password?
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page, enter your email and open the reset message. Choose a new password, then sign in. Request a new link if the old one expired or was used.
Why can a request be declined?
Workspace scope, website content rules or a model provider’s boundaries can cause a refusal. Adjust the fiction request using the notice. A pre-dispatch refusal sends no model call; already dispatched calls are settled as recorded.
Can credits be refunded?
Refund handling depends on the current terms, order and applicable rules. A provider call and the release of an unused reservation are different matters. Check the bill and use support to explain an issue.
How do I review AI writing quality?
Review character behavior, continuity, language and your brief. AI can make mistakes; a completed generation is not automatically ready for publication. Request specific revisions and review pending versions.
How do I change my display name?
Look for the display name or profile controls in account settings. Save the change and check its confirmation. It does not create another account, balance or works library.
Are my drafts automatically public?
Account drafts and public editions are separate. Generating or accepting a draft does not publish it. AI features send the content needed for the request to a provider; avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
When will recharge credits arrive?
Check the order status and account balance. Some payments require review or processing time. Keep the order reference and inspect the existing order before paying again.
What can account credit grants be used for?
Your account shows eligibility, received grants and balance. Check the current feature price or AI budget before use. Credits do not have a fixed conversion into generated words.
What if my verification email is missing?
Check the address and spam folder, then request another message on the sign-in page. Open the latest verification link and request a new one if it expires.
